Melk Abbey is a beautiful Baroque building and sits majestically overlooking the town of Melk and the Danube River. It features a 200 ft high dome and equally impressive is the church of Melk Abbey.

 

Other major features are the marble hall in red marble and the Melk Abbey Library with countless medievel manuscripts, which rises 2 floors. There are beautiful views from the Abbey Terrace over Melk and the Danube River
